# Configure Trello with an api key

#### Steps to authorize Trello with a token&#x20;

1. In Smaply, **open the Trello configuration page**. From your Account settings (a) > Integrations (b) > Trello Setup (c)<br>

2. In the "How to setup the Trello integration" box, click on the link to open the authorization page

3. Authorize the smaply connector app

4. Copy the generated token and paste it into the field in the Smaply configuration

5. Save the configuration and the connection success message should be shown&#x20;
